🔬 What is the lactic acid bacteria material “FK-23” used in Protesan S?

FK-23 is a lactic acid bacteria material derived from the human intestinal lactic acid bacteria Enterococcus faecalis, uniquely selected by Nichinichi Pharmaceutical and heat-treated to maximize functionality. Unlike live lactic acid bacteria in yogurt which have low absorption rates in the small intestine, FK-23 is heat sterilized and concentrated to allow efficient absorption of a bacterial body amount impossible with live bacteria from the Peyer’s patches in the small intestine. It also functions as food for the diverse resident bacteria in the gut flora. It holds 6 patents in health and beauty fields and has been researched and manufactured as a long-selling material for over 30 years since 1987.
