Mentholatum Jinmart is a topical cream for swollen, itchy hives as well as itch, rashes, eczema, dermatitis, sores, heat rash, chilblains, and insect bites. In addition to three antipruritic ingredients—diphenhydramine hydrochloride, lidocaine, and crotamiton—it combines cooling from l-menthol, astringent action from zinc oxide, and anti-inflammatory action from dipotassium glycyrrhizinate to soothe red, swollen skin from multiple angles. It contains no steroid ingredients.

Diphenhydramine hydrochloride blocks the action of histamine, a cause of itch; lidocaine dampens itch-nerve activity; and crotamiton acts on warm-sensation nerves to ease itch.

l-Menthol provides a cooling sensation to ease itch, zinc oxide astringes the affected area to help reduce swelling, and dipotassium glycyrrhizinate helps calm inflammation at the site.
