Pharmacist Brooks at J.W. Brooks & Company in Maine, USA, created the "Antiseptic (bactericidal Lotion)." The product name comes from "Sea Breeze."
1913
The "SEA BREEZE" logo trademark was registered. The package design featuring a "girl running on the beach" inspired by the sea and wind, with white, blue, and light green colors, was completed.
1960
The year color broadcasting started in Japan, direct import began through "American Pharmacy" in Hibiya. It became popular by word of mouth among young trendsetters.
1969
Officially launched in Japan. Quickly spread mainly among people in their teens and twenties as a refreshing Lotion.
1982–2000
Bristol-Myers held the sales rights in Japan. Commercials featuring leading artists and talents of the era such as Namie Amuro, Kyoko Fukada, and trf gained support from younger generations.
