Ideal for these people and situations
Product overview
Soft Santear is an artificial tear eye drop (Class 3 OTC drug) that has long been trusted from Santen Pharmaceutical. It is formulated with a pH and osmotic pressure close to natural tears, and helps care for uncomfortable symptoms such as eye dryness and a foreign-body sensation associated with insufficient tear fluid. Its preservative-free formula (no benzalkonium chloride or similar agents) is characterized by a gentle feel that is less likely to sting. It has been confirmed that the drops can be used while wearing all types of contact lenses (soft, RGP/O2, hard, and disposable), and may also be used to help care for discomfort, eye fatigue, and dryness while wearing contacts. If you have been diagnosed with dry eye, please also consider regular visits to an eye doctor.

❓ Frequently asked questions
QCan it be used on children?
AIt can be used from age 1 and up. However, for young children who cannot accurately describe their symptoms, there is a risk of overlooking an eye condition. Please use under the guidance of an eye doctor at least until the child can report their own symptoms.
QHow long can it be used after opening?
AEven within the expiration date, do not use any remaining solution more than about 10 days after opening. Because it is preservative-free, take extra care with hygiene after opening.
QCan I apply the drops just before going to bed?
AAvoid applying the drops immediately before sleep; we recommend applying them at least 5–10 minutes before bedtime. Tear flow slows during sleep, so irritation from the ingredients may continue.
