The active ingredient in DORIERU (Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride) is widely used to suppress allergy symptoms such as itching of the skin, sneezing, and runny nose, and it has the effect of causing drowsiness when taken.
DORIERU is a medicine developed by applying the drowsiness effect of Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride.
● How DORIERU causes drowsiness
In the posterior part of the hypothalamus, which is closely related to sleep and wakefulness in the brain, there are many histamine neurons called excitatory neurons. Histamine released from their terminals excites nerve cells in various parts of the brain, including the cerebral cortex, maintaining and regulating wakefulness. DORIERU’s active ingredient (Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride) suppresses the action of histamine in the brain, producing a drowsiness effect.
