<Notes regarding efficacy and effectiveness>

Dosage and Administration

When you feel like smoking, chew one cigarette slowly over 30 to 60 minutes, spacing the time between each bite. The number of cigarettes to be used per day should be based on the table below. Normally, you should start with 4 to 12 cigarettes per day, and increase or decrease as needed, but the total number of cigarettes used per day should not exceed 24. Once you have become accustomed to not smoking (after about a month), reduce the number of cigarettes used per day by 1 to 2 cigarettes per week, and stop using cigarettes when you are down to 1 to 2 cigarettes per day. The target period of use is 3 months.
[Single serving: Maximum number of pieces per day: Estimated number of pieces to use per day when starting use (number of cigarettes smoked per day before quitting smoking): Estimated number of pieces to use per day when starting use (number of pieces to use per day)]
1 piece: 24 pieces: 20 pieces or less: 4 to 6 pieces
1 piece: 24 pieces: 21-30 pieces: 6-9 pieces
1 piece: 24 pieces: 31 pieces or more: 9 to 12 pieces

<Caution regarding usage and dosage>

1. Completely stop smoking and use.
2. Do not chew more than two pieces at a time (this may result in an overdose of nicotine, causing symptoms such as nausea, dizziness, and abdominal pain).
3. If you feel any spiciness or irritation, stop chewing and rest the food against the inside of your cheek.
4. This drug is a gum formulation and should not be swallowed. In addition, this drug may adhere to dentures and cause them to fall out or become damaged, so people who have had dental treatment such as dentures should be careful when using this drug.
5. Do not use this medicine for a while after drinking coffee, carbonated drinks, etc. (The full effect of this medicine may not be obtained).
6. Do not use at the same time as oral inhalants or sprays (this may worsen symptoms such as irritation in the mouth and throat and sore throat).
