About Senna

Senna has been used as a laxative in Europe for a long time. It does not soften stool but acts on the large intestine to relieve constipation, so it can improve various symptoms associated with atonic constipation, which is common among women. Senna is listed in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JP), a pharmaceutical standard established by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

Characteristics of Senna

Point 1

Senna is a herbal medicine native to Africa whose leaves and fruits contain sennosides, a type of anthraquinone, and has long been used as a reliable laxative with a strong laxative effect.

Point 2

Sennosides, a unique component of senna, are broken down in the intestines and converted into a component called rheinanthrone. This substance stimulates the mucous membrane of the large intestine, activating peristalsis and promoting bowel movements.

Point 3

Senna does not soften stool, but acts on the intestines and activates intestinal peristalsis, so it is effective for atonic constipation, which is common among women. Women in particular tend to become constipated due to the slowing of the natural movement of their intestines, so it is said that using senna can help relieve this condition.

How to drink

It is a type that you boil in hot water and drink. You can drink it like tea, but it is a proper medicine, so it is very effective. Boil it in a kettle or pot.
