“Nitto Relay Kelp Tea” is a kelp tea series manufactured by Nitto Food Industry Co., Ltd. (Hiroshima Prefecture), with 88 years of history. It mainly uses salt, sugar, and kelp powder from Hokkaido, and values the natural color and umami of kelp without using coloring agents.
With a variety of options including kelp tea, fruit pulp plum kelp tea, chili plum kelp tea, and kelp tea with dietary fiber, it can be used widely as a hidden flavor in cooking, for salt replenishment, or a quick refreshment. Since kelp powder is a natural ingredient, color and taste may vary slightly depending on the harvest season.

Delicious way to drink
- Put about 1 teaspoon (about 2g) of kelp tea into a cup.
- Pour 150–180ml of boiling water.
- Stir well to finish. Adding mitsuba or yuzu peel on top enhances the flavor.
*As a hidden flavor in cooking: Adding 1 to 2 teaspoons to mixed rice enhances the umami. It can also be used as a base for lightly pickled vegetables.
