The Only
Menstrual Pain Medication in Japan

Elpain Kowa

・For throbbing pain
Before menstruation, prostaglandins are produced in the endometrium to push out the unnecessary uterine lining from the body. Excessive production of prostaglandins is the main cause of throbbing pain.

・For cramping, twisting pain
Before menstruation, prostaglandins are produced in the endometrium to push out the unnecessary uterine lining from the body. When prostaglandins are excessively produced, the uterus contracts strongly. This excessive uterine contraction causes cramping, twisting pain.

・For menstrual pain accompanied by loose stomach
Prostaglandins produced in the endometrium to push out the unnecessary uterine lining also enter the bloodstream and increase. This causes the intestines to contract, making lower abdominal pain with soft stools more likely.

Double Formula Designed Based on the Mechanism of Menstruation

Ibuprofen: Suppresses the excessive production of prostaglandins that cause pain.
Butylscopolamine Bromide: Suppresses excessive contractions of the uterus and intestines.
