The stomach isn't what digests fat
Liver power is digestion
I can no longer eat greasy food...
This is due to the decline in liver function associated with aging .
One of the causes is a lack of bile acids, which are necessary for the breakdown of fat .
Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), an ingredient in Tanabe Gastrointestinal Medicine Urso, acts on the liver,
It promotes the secretion of bile acid and improves stomach discomfort caused by fat.
Recommended for these people:
People who, as they get older, find it difficult or impossible to eat greasy food. |
People who attend many dinner parties or banquets |
Those who feel unwell but don't want to rely on conventional gastrointestinal medicines |
What is Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA)?
UDCA is one of the five human bile acids.
Cholic acid (CA) and chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA) are synthesized in the liver.
These are excreted into the intestine as bile components and are converted by intestinal bacteria into deoxycholic acid (DCA), lithocholic acid (LCA), and ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) .
Bile acids circulate
After bile acids produced in the liver are used to digest and absorb fat in the small intestine, more than 95% of them are returned to the liver through the portal vein and reused. This cycle is called the "enterohepatic circulation."
As liver function declines with age, bile flow decreases , disrupting this cycle and making it difficult to properly digest and absorb fat .
UDCA promotes bile acid secretion
Orally ingested UDCA enters the enterohepatic circulation unchanged after absorption from the intestinal tract.
UDCA not only acts as a bile acid, but also improves the function of liver cells and promotes bile secretion (choleretic effect) .
When bile acids that had been trapped inside liver cells are secreted as bile components, fat is digested and absorbed smoothly, improving stomach discomfort and indigestion .

Features
Maintaining your digestive system to continue eating delicious food
■ Because of the enterohepatic circulation...
Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) absorbed in the intestine is excreted through the liver and gallbladder, then absorbed again by the intestine. This cycle is called the "enterohepatic circulation," and UDCA acts not only on the stomach and intestines, but also on the liver and gallbladder for a long period of time. Therefore, taking "one tablet a day" is effective in "maintaining the digestive system."
■By promoting the secretion of bile acids...
As we age, we may feel heavy in the stomach when we eat greasy food. One of the reasons for this is a decrease in the secretion of bile acids, which aid in the digestion and absorption of fats. UDCA improves the "heavy stomach and indigestion" caused by fat by promoting the secretion of bile acids.
