JP wood creosote, the key ingredient of the Seirogan series, is a crude drug made by repeatedly distilling and refining wood tar obtained by cooling and liquefying the smoke produced when raw wood such as beech and pine is carbonized. Taiko Pharmaceutical uses JP wood creosote manufactured and controlled consistently from the raw materials. The distinctive odor comes from wood creosote and is also a sign that it is a forest-derived crude drug. Seirogan Quick C is designed so this main ingredient is enclosed in soft capsules, making it possible to take while reducing the odor.
- This product is a Class 2 OTC drug. Read the package insert carefully before use.
- Do not take if you have any of the following: acute severe diarrhea, or bloody stools, mucoid bloody stools, or pus-like stools (a serious condition may be underlying).
- Consult before taking if: you are under a physician’s care; you are pregnant or may be pregnant; you are breastfeeding; you are elderly; you have previously experienced allergic symptoms due to medicine or similar; you have an underlying condition such as liver or kidney disease.
