● Features
Colistin is a white crystalline powder extracted and purified from the culture solution of Bacillus polymyxa var. colistinus. Its antibacterial action selectively targets gram-negative bacteria and exerts a bactericidal effect. It is also effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Bacitracin is a white to light brown powder extracted from the culture solution of Bacillus subtilis var. Tracy, with an antibacterial spectrum similar to penicillin, effective against most gram-positive bacteria and some gram-negative bacteria.
