How do we feel stress?
Stress is perceived in the brain. It is the amygdala in the limbic system of the brain. Here, there are cells that respond to pleasant stimuli and cells that respond to unpleasant stimuli. Stress occurs due to cells responding to unpleasant stimuli. This stimulation affects the autonomic nervous system and endocrine system via the hypothalamus and other areas.
