Oral ulcer (aphthous)

＜Precautions related to Efficacy/Effects＞
"Oral ulcer (aphthous)" means...
It is a general term for inflammation characterized by one or several small shallow painful ulcers (less than 10mm in diameter) with a whitish circular center and reddish surrounding area, appearing on the inside of the cheeks, tongue, or inside of the lips. The cause is unclear, but stress, fatigue, or nutritional imbalance are said to be involved.

● Dosage and Administration
［Age: Usage method］
Adults (15 years and older): Apply 1 patch to 1 affected area 1 to 2 times a day, adhering it to the affected mucous membrane.
Children (5 years and older): Apply 1 patch to 1 affected area 1 to 2 times a day, adhering it to the affected mucous membrane.
Under 5 years old: Do not use.


＜Precautions related to Dosage and Administration＞
(1) Strictly follow the prescribed dosage and administration.
(2) This product does not dissolve. It will naturally come off over time. (Do not forcibly remove it.)
(3) This product is an oral mucosal adhesive agent; do not swallow it.
(4) Stop using once the pain subsides. (There is no need to remove the patch in use.)
(5) Do not use on infants under 5 years old.
(6) When used on children 5 years and older, use under the guidance and supervision of a guardian.
(7) Be careful with children as they may peel off the patch with their fingers after application.
(8) If accidentally swallowed, apply a new patch to the affected area. If you feel uneasy due to any change in symptoms, consult a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, or registered seller.
(9) Incorrect usage may cause the patch not to adhere, so read the instructions carefully and use correctly.
(10) After applying the patch to the affected mucous membrane, avoid touching it strongly with the tongue or other parts as it may come off.
(11) Do not swallow patches that have come off; dispose of them.

Polyacrylic acid, triethyl citrate, hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose), ethyl cellulose, castor oil, titanium dioxide, Red No. 102

* The main material of this product is cellulose (fiber component), so even if accidentally swallowed, it will not be digested and will be excreted from the body.

● Precautions for Use
■Do not do (Contraindications)
(Failure to comply may worsen current symptoms or increase the likelihood of side effects)
Do not use if you are:
(1) Suspected of having infectious oral ulcers. (Consult a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, or registered seller)
・Those with white patches easily removed by gauze spread throughout the oral cavity. (Suspected candidiasis)
・Those with yellow pus in the affected area. (Suspected bacterial infection)
・Those with multiple small blisters the size of rice grains to azuki beans in the oral cavity, or blisters and rashes on lips or skin outside the oral mucosa. (Suspected viral infection)
・Those with systemic symptoms such as fever, loss of appetite, general fatigue, or swollen lymph nodes. (Suspected viral infection)
(2) Those with oral infections. (Do not use on areas with oral infections such as periodontitis or gingivitis, as steroid use may worsen infections.)
(3) Those whose symptoms do not improve after 5 days of use.
(4) Those whose symptoms worsen after 1 to 2 days of use.
■Consult
1. Consult a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, or registered seller before use if you:
(1) Are receiving treatment from a doctor or dentist.
(2) Have had allergic reactions to medicines.
(3) Are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.
(4) Are breastfeeding.
(5) Have a large affected area (cannot cover the affected area completely with this product).
(6) Are elderly.
2. If the following symptoms appear after use, stop using immediately and consult a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, or registered seller with this leaflet, as they may be side effects:
［Affected area: Symptoms］
Oral cavity: white patches (suspected candidiasis), yellow pus in the affected area (suspected bacterial infection)
In addition to the above symptoms, if allergic symptoms (bronchial asthma attacks, edema, etc.) appear.
3. If the following symptoms appear after use, consult a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, or registered seller as oral ulcers caused by infections or other diseases may be suspected:
Fever, loss of appetite, general fatigue, swollen lymph nodes, blisters (outside the oral cavity), rash/redness, itching, affected area spreading extensively beyond what this product can cover, eye pain, blurred vision, genital ulcers.

●Precautions for Storage and Handling
(1) Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
(2) Keep out of reach of children.
(3) Do not transfer to other containers. (This may cause misuse or quality changes.)
(4) To maintain quality, place unused portions back in the original bag after opening and fold the opening securely.
(5) Do not use products past the expiration date. Even within the expiration date, use as soon as possible after opening.
