🌱 Brand Story
Kitanihon Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which produces the "Shisei" series, is a Kampo medicine manufacturer established in 1942 (Showa 17) in Kamiichi-machi, Toyama Prefecture, by predecessors known as "Toyama's medicine sellers." Toyama has long been known as the birthplace of the placement medicine culture, spreading knowledge and manufacturing techniques of crude drugs and Kampo medicine throughout Japan. The company has inherited this tradition and has continued as a specialized company focused on the manufacturing and sales of Kampo medicine for over 80 years.
Kitanihon Pharmaceutical is particularly committed to the concept of "full dosage prescription." In classical Kampo prescriptions, strict standards are set for the amount of each crude drug used, and using the exact amount of crude drugs according to these standards and incorporating the extracted extract without waste into the product is called "full dosage prescription." While half or three-quarter dosage products exist on the market, Kitanihon Pharmaceutical has been working on full dosage prescriptions since the 1970s, pursuing quality that maximizes the original power of Kampo.
