Matters concerning the system for the sale of prescription drugs and over-the-counter drugs
(1) Definitions of and explanations regarding prescription drugs, Class 1 drugs, Class 2 drugs, and Class 3 drugs ■Prescription drugs immediately after switching (※Drugs that have been switched from medical use to over-the-counter use shortly and whose risks as over-the-counter drugs have not yet been determined) ・Poisonous drugs ※Drugs (switched OTC) that have not yet passed the period (3 years) specified by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare Ordinance after receiving approval for the application
■ Category 1 medicines: Those that contain ingredients that require special attention in terms of safety, such as those with little experience of use as over-the-counter medicines. *Medicines containing H2 blockers, some hair medications, etc.
■ Category 2 medicines: Contains ingredients that may rarely cause serious health damage equivalent to hospitalization or more. *Main cold medicines, antipyretics, analgesics, gastrointestinal analgesics, antispasmodics, etc.
■ Category 3 OTC drugs: Contains ingredients that may cause physical abnormalities or disorders, but not to the extent that they interfere with daily life.
*Health supplements containing vitamins B and C, major intestinal medicines, digestive medicines, etc.
(2) Explanation regarding the labeling and provision of information for prescription drugs, Class 1 drugs, Class 2 drugs, and Class 3 drugs. Risk classification will be displayed on the drug package (outer box/wrap) and attached document.
The display method may be by printing or by sticking a sticker.
1) Prescription drugs shall be labeled "prescription drug" on the immediate container or immediate packaging.
2) Class 1 OTC drugs will be labeled as "Class 1 OTC drugs" on the packaging.
3) Class 2 OTC drugs will be labeled as "Class 2 OTC drugs" on the packaging.
4) Class 3 OTC drugs will be labeled as "Class 3 OTC drugs" on the packaging.

Prescription drugs are displayed behind the counter in the prescription drug display area or in a locked display unit.

Designated Category 2 pharmaceuticals are displayed within 7 meters of the facilities where information is provided.
Class 2 and Class 3 pharmaceuticals are placed separately on the shelves.
(5) Measures to ensure proper handling of personal information Personal information obtained through provision of information on pharmaceuticals will be properly managed within the store and will not be provided to third parties. However, if it is deemed necessary to report in response to a request from administrative authorities, etc., we may provide the information.
(6) Measures to prevent abuse
When selling or distributing medicines that may be abused, we will verify the age of the person placing the order.

(8) On the explanatory website regarding the labeling of over-the-counter drug sales sites, only Class 2 and Class 3 pharmaceuticals will be listed in the pharmaceutical category.
