Enema is a laxative
Constipation refers to a state in which you have not had a bowel movement for three days or more, or you feel as if you have not yet had a bowel movement.
Enemas use the osmotic pressure of glycerin to stimulate the rectum, which induces the urge to defecate. If stool has reached the rectum, it is a very effective method. If stool has not reached the rectum, it may not be effective.
Benefits of Enema
- The medicine used is excreted from the body along with feces. Unlike oral laxatives, it is not absorbed into the body and has no side effects.
- Enema is a fast-acting laxative that takes effect within 2 to 5 minutes. It can be used to control bowel movements in advance, not only when you are suffering from constipation, but also when you don't want to go to the toilet because of a meeting or trip.
- Enema is a laxative that can be used by everyone from babies to the elderly. It is made of glycerin and water, so it is effective for a wide range of generations as a laxative that everyone can use.
