Do you have any of these concerns about coughing?

・Uncontrollable cough and sore throat
Coughing before and while sleeping
・It's hard to hold in a cough because I'm worried about what to do
・I cough on the train and worry about the people around me looking at me

Survey reveals that coughing before bedtime and while asleep is the most bothersome

There's a reason why you may have a hard time coughing at or before bedtime.

It is said that during sleep, depending on your position, runny nose and phlegm can move to the trachea, causing inflammation and making you more likely to cough. In addition, during light non-REM sleep, tension relaxes and the bronchi narrow, which is said to be a factor in making you more likely to cough.
