Protesan B
Patented lactic acid bacteria material FK-23 · Equivalent to 300 billion bacteria per packet · Yogurt equivalent of 30L · 31 packets included
Protesan B is the entry type in the Protesan series with the lowest lactic acid bacteria concentration (equivalent to 300 billion per packet). It is designed as the first step for those trying FK-23 lactic acid bacteria for the first time, infants, young children, and those sensitive to lactic acid bacteria. You can start with 1 packet per day and gradually adjust the intake according to your condition and tolerance. It also contains oligosaccharides and indigestible dextrin to gently support the intestinal environment.
“Protesan B” is positioned as the entry-level product in Nichinichi Pharmaceutical’s long-selling Protesan supplement series. It contains FK-23 lactic acid bacteria equivalent to 300 billion per packet (1.0g), which corresponds to 30L of yogurt.
Among the Protesan series lineup (B: 300 billion → R: 1 trillion → S: 4 trillion → S3: 12 trillion), Protesan B has the lowest bacteria count and is suitable for those trying FK-23 lactic acid bacteria for the first time, infants, young children, and those with weak constitutions who want to start with a small amount.
Contains oligosaccharides and indigestible dextrin (dietary fiber). Allergen-free formulation without fragrances or sweeteners, safe for all ages. Start with 1 packet per day and increase up to 3 packets according to your condition.

Nichinichi Pharmaceutical's lactic acid bacteria supplements use three types of lactic acid bacteria materials processed differently. All are made from the same bacteria called Enterococcus faecalis, but their properties and names differ depending on the depth of processing.
A material where Enterococcus faecalis is heat sterilized and concentrated. The bacterial bodies remain intact and are absorbed from the Peyer's patches in the small intestine. Used in the Protesan series (B, R, S, S3). Holds six patents.
A material where FK-23 is further treated with enzyme processing to dissolve the bacterial cell walls and extract internal components (nucleic acids, vitamins, minerals, etc.). Used in the Chisa series (Ferna and White). Holds six patents.
A unique special processed lactic acid bacteria material from Nichinichi Pharmaceutical that combines the characteristics of both FK-23 and LFK. Used in Protesan Every II.
