A. The raw materials and ingredients in deodorants can be classified into "antiperspirant ingredients," "antibacterial ingredients," and "deodorizing ingredients."
- Antiperspirant ingredients work by metal compounds applied to the skin accumulating in sweat pores (the sweat outlets on the body surface), partially blocking them and thus reducing sweat production.
- Antibacterial ingredients suppress body odor-causing substances by reducing the activity of or killing microorganisms on the skin.
- Deodorizing ingredients work by neutralizing or adsorbing odor-causing substances like short-chain fatty acids that actually cause odors, thereby eliminating or reducing the smell.
