Features
âAcetaminophen, the active ingredient in Tylenol A, is an ingredient that has two effects: antipyretic and analgesic.
âIt mainly acts on the "thermoregulatory center" in the brain, and helps to reduce fever by allowing heat to escape from the body by dilating blood vessels.
âIt has the effect of suppressing substances in the brain that transmit information about fever and pain, and is thought to relieve various types of pain such as headaches, menstrual pain, and joint pain.
âThe stomach naturally contains a substance called prostaglandin (PG) that protects the stomach wall from stomach acid.
âTylenol A has almost no effect on PG, so it is gentle and effective even when taken on an empty stomach. However, if you have chills or fever due to a cold, try to avoid taking it on an empty stomach.
