Moist Healing (moisture therapy) promotes faster and cleaner healing.
Wounds heal through the action of a transparent liquid, known as "body fluid (exudate)," that comes from the wound edges. The "Healing PowerTM" series uses a special material called hydrocolloid in its "Moist PadTM" to tightly seal the wound edges, absorbing and retaining body fluid. This creates a moist environment ideal for healing, promoting the skin’s natural regeneration.

Prevents scabs and alleviates pain.
The Moist PadTM acts as a substitute for a scab, preventing the wound from drying out, thus avoiding scab formation and promoting smooth healing of the skin. Reduces the likelihood of scars and alleviates pain.

Did you know? The "body fluid" that comes from a wound edge has
the power to heal wounds.
When you get injured, body fluid seeps from the wound edge, containing factors that aid in healing. Making the most of this fluid to expedite healing is termed "Moist Healing (moisture therapy)."
- Prevents dryness of the wound edge, maintaining an environment rich in body fluid = moist environment.
- Active healing factors promote epidermal regeneration, allowing for faster healing.
Moist Healing
A new standard in wound care that has gained attention and is becoming widely accepted is known as "Moist Healing" (moisture therapy), which heals wounds without forming scabs. Proposed by Dr. Winter in the UK in 1962, it has been extensively researched and is now widely adopted in medical settings.
The conventional method of healing wounds by forming scabs is
"Dry Healing."
- When the wound edge is exposed to air, body fluid dries out and cells die, closing the wound edge with a scab.
- A small amount of body fluid remaining under the scab fails to adequately promote healing, resulting in slower recovery.
