Moist Healing (Moist Therapy) for faster, cleaner wound healing.
Wounds heal through the function of a transparent liquid, called "body fluid (exudate)," that comes from the wound edge. The "Healing PowerTM" series uses a special material called hydrocolloid to tightly seal the wound edge, absorbing and retaining the body fluid that comes from the wound edge. This creates a moist environment conducive to healing and encourages clean skin regeneration.

Prevents scabs and alleviates pain.
The Moist PadTM acts as a substitute for a scab, preventing the wound from drying out, thus avoiding scab formation and promoting smooth skin. It reduces the likelihood of scars and alleviates pain.

Did you know? The "body fluid" that comes from the wound edge
has healing properties.
When injured, body fluid is exuded from the wound edge, containing factors that promote healing. Maximizing the function of this body fluid to expedite wound healing is known as "Moist Healing (Moist Therapy)."
- Prevents drying of the wound edge, maintaining a moist environment with sufficient body fluid.
- Healing factors become active, regenerating the epidermis and speeding up the healing process.
Moist Healing
A new wound care standard that has gained attention and is becoming increasingly prevalent in recent years is the so-called "Moist Healing" (Moist Therapy), which heals wounds without forming scabs. Since being proposed by Dr. Winter in the UK in 1962, research has advanced, and it is now widely adopted in medical settings.
The traditional method of treating wounds by forming scabs
was known as "Dry Healing."
- When the wound edge is exposed to air, body fluid dries up and cells die, causing the wound edge to become covered with a scab.
- The scant body fluid left beneath the scab does not adequately support the healing process, slowing recovery.
Shapes
A variety of sizes ranging from medium to extra-large cover different wound sizes.
